A resident of Dénia, among those affected by the building fire in Valencia

February 23 from 2024 - 11: 52

New information continues to arrive about the fire that has taken place in Valencia and that, so far, has claimed the lives of four people, leaving several missing at this time because the firefighters still cannot access the interior of the building. In addition, many people have lost their homes, being devoured by flames in a matter of minutes.

That is the case of Belén, a neighbor of Dénia who was caught by the tragedy in her residence in the capital of Marina Alta. "I have seen my apartment burn through the security cameras that I had inside the house, I have seen how everything was burned," he declared to Europa Press already from the vicinity of the building where he owned an apartment, his habitual residence, and that he has been devoured by fire. He has traveled to the place to see first-hand the extent of the misfortune.

He has also expressed his concern for his neighbors who were in the building, thanking the firefighters for their work in the intervention.

    Yes Yes Yes……

10 years ago I requested a building permit for a town house that we wanted to be as ecological as possible.
The permit and regulations were very demanding.

But are there officials-inspectors trained in the town councils to monitor these works and control these demands?

When I follow the evolution of the construction of certain properties that boast of being luxurious, I find their quality, more than dubious, frightening...

    performance, performance, and nothing more.

There is a very extensive regulation for buildings in our country, especially protection against fire. But not a real monitoring on site, they are more concerned with seeing if the fire classification, testing and
mention of the certificates, than in checking the packaged merchandise.
And an administrator usually takes care of that. There are highly qualified technicians for these tasks, such as Quantity Surveyors, Technical Architects and Building Engineers.
Years ago, this was taken care of by the construction manager, a master of the trade, a trusted figure, a permanent one in each work, who knew the norms and rules of the art of each "similar" trade that intervened in his work.
Nowadays, as I said before, the regulations are very extensive, very demanding that the staff have their diplomas in occupational risks, handling crane scaffolding, etc. equipped with as if they were going to work submerged underwater. Sometimes these devices hinder vision, breathing, and work performance. In short, a complete nonsense, as happens today in almost
    everything in our daily lives.
