Denia and coastal municipalities have been during Tuesday morning in emergency pre risk of tsunami following the earthquake in 6,1 degrees on the Richter scale that shook the Greek coast this Tuesday morning.
The Emergency Center of the Generalitat Valenciana has declared this pre-emergency because the earthquake can cause the water level to increase between half meter and one meter of altitude. From the 112 have warned all coastal municipalities, including Dénia, the ports and operations involved in the precautions to take before this alert.
Since the CDC recommend not being in beach areas until the pre emergency is lifted.
The epicenter of this earthquake was located about five kilometers under the ocean floor, a few kilometers northwest of the island of Lefkada, on the west coast of the peninsula. At the moment there are two dead and four wounded.
