The Ministry of Health has detected a new outbreak of coronavirus in Dénia, after 27 days since the last one was detected. This is one of the 10 cases that have been reported during the day today.
Since April 1, no outbreak of coronavirus has been detected in the capital of the Marina Alta, when a case of social origin was registered that affected 6 people. On this occasion, like the previous time and most times, it originated in a social gathering. But this time it has only left 3 infections, the minimum to be considered an outbreak.
Coronavirus in the Valencian Community
The Valencian Community has administered a total of 1.574.074 doses of the coronavirus vaccine. By provinces, 185.716 in Castellón, 577.998 in Alicante and 810.360 in Valencia. They have received the complete immunization schedule (two doses for Pfizer, Moderna and AstraZeneca and the single dose of Janssen) 411.342 people.
In addition, 225 new cases of coronavirus confirmed by PCR test or through antigen test have been reported since the last update, putting the total number of positives at 390.075 people. By provinces, 41 in Castellón (40.189 in total); 57 in Alicante (146.249 in total); and 127 in Valencia, a province to which one case has been reassigned (203.636 in total). The total of unassigned cases drops to 1.
Since the last update, 180 discharges to patients with coronavirus have been registered. In this way, there are already 390.243 people in the Valencian Community who have overcome the disease since the pandemic began. By province, registrations are distributed as follows: 40.328 in Castellón, 145.987 in Alicante and 203.873 in Valencia. The total of unassigned registrations is reduced to 55.
Valencian hospitals currently have 256 people admitted: 54 in the province of Castellón, with 8 patients in ICU; 69 in the province of Alicante, 18 of them in the ICU; and 133 in the province of Valencia, 28 of them in the ICU.
In addition, there have been 5 deaths from coronavirus since the last update, so the total number of deaths since the beginning of the pandemic is 7.307: 794 in the province of Castellón, 2.779 in that of Alicante and 3.734 in that of Valencia.
According to the data recorded, there are currently 3.993 active cases, which represents 0,99% of the total positives.
