The accumulation of gas seems to be the reason for the explosion that took place, around the 10: 00 in the morning, in a central and well-known restaurant on the Calle Historico Palau in Dénia.
The day had begun normally for the work team, which was preparing for the services of the day after five days of closure. In the first hour they opened the windows and started working in the kitchen behind closed doors. The scare has arrived when, after the 10: 00 morning, there was a deflagration in the kitchen that has caused significant damage to both the kitchen and the windows of the establishment.
Until the place they have mobilized a car of headquarters of the Regional Park of Firemen and a truck of first exit, as well as effective of the bodies of Local Police and National Police of Dénia. Also the mayor of Dénia, Vicent Grimalt, has approached the restaurant to see first hand what happened.
One of the cooks who was working at the time had to be transferred to the Hospital de Dénia with minor injuries to the legs and hands. Fortunately there was no need to regret more damage among people who were in the premises at the time of the explosion.
From its social networks, the restaurant has informed its customers of the situation with the following message: "We are sorry to have to communicate to our customers, that unfortunately we have to force the closure of our premises due to an explosion in our kitchen. We will cancel all reservations made at the moment. We apologize to our customers for any inconvenience we may cause them".
