Last week the Plenary of the Consell approved the change of destiny of the 9 million of euros that the Generalitat owes to Dénia by the Plan Trust. After discarding the idea of the construction of the La Nau Theater, Dénia now has three months to justify the change of money destination and present the new projects.
In June of 2012 the city council informed of the change of plans, since the 9 million euros of the Plan of Support to the Productive Investment of the Valencian Comunitat had to be fulfilled with other 5 that had to contribute the local government for the construction of the theater and , according to the mayor, the best option was to allocate that money to "Other projects focused on revitalizing Dénia, boosting employment and energizing its economy".
In the month of November of last year, in an informative meeting with the councilor of the area, Vicente Chelet, 21 Local Agenda opined that the best destination for this money was the new bus station. The PSOE, for its part, is committed to the conditioning of the Cervantes building, the redevelopment of Calle Fontanella and Sandunga, the adaptation of the industrial estate, the redevelopment of the streets of the ARI de Les Roques or the secondary branches of the sewage system of the Rotates-Montgó, a point that coincides with the opinion of the BLOC.
