Services are expanded at the accessible beach Punta del Raset de Dénia

The ruler of Beach, Pepe Doménech, together with the provincial president of the Red Cross, Francisco Galván, the president of the local assembly, Eduardo de la Morena, and María José Ballestero, manager of the AXA Foundation, have presented the innovations introduced in the accessible beach of the Punta del Raset.

The agreement between the Red Cross and the AXA Foundation together with the collaboration of the City Council has made possible the improvements in the accessible beach Punta del Raset. People with disabilities or reduced mobility will be able to enjoy even more a day of sun and beach, since from today Punta del Raset has a special assisted bathing area in which people with reduced mobility will have technical aids, training sessions mobility, exercise area for the development of mobility, massage area and entertainment staff with activities for adults or children.

«We have four accessible beaches Marineta Cassiana, Punta del Raset, The Bovetes y Marines. We have chosen the expansion of services in Punta del Raset because it is the urban beach in Dénia that has the most capacity for users. Thus, we consider that this was the ideal place ”, explained the governor of Playas, Pepe Doménech.

In this sense, the spaces have been reinforced with new amphibious chairs, stretchers, crutches and walkers that AXA has donated in addition to dumbbells, balls and elastic straps. Likewise, the technical staff for both animation and physiotherapy has been increased.

Denia deserved a special bathing area where people with disabilities can enjoy a day of sun and beach in the best conditions ”, said the head of the AXA Foundation, María José Ballestero.

Families and users assure that this will be "free help and a break" so that everyone can enjoy the beach as they deserve.
