Santa Paula is celebrated between traditional dances and 'porrat'

January 29 from 2024 - 11: 34

Yesterday Santa Paula (whose official day is January 26) was celebrated in the hermitage, with the same name, after the arrival of the pilgrimage and a mass in which the joys to the saint were read. There was no shortage of traditional dances by Dianium Dansa and the famous porrat (or porrate), that is, the fair that is celebrated on the festival of a saint.

On this occasion, as usual, a stand was opened with typical sweets from the area such as caramel apples, licorice, sugar cane or arrop i carvings, and, for their part, the revelers presented the visitors with mistela and peanuts. This year, a great paella was also cooked for the attendees.
