Paralympic sailor Rafa Andarias, who completed the first half of the season, has opted to check his fitness in the clinic REMA.
The past 20 of July confirmed this agreement with the signature of the director of the center, Juan Olivert and the sailor, Rafa Andarias. Next, Andarias placed himself in the hands of Dr. Alfonso Valle, eminence in sports cardiology, who carried out the pertinent checks.
The first of these consisted of checking the heart through a cardiac ultrasound. Then the ergometry or stress test technique was performed to assess the heart's response to exercise.
Both confirmed the excellent state of form of the sailor declaring him fit for sports. In this way, you can continue with the next competitions with the security of having successfully passed this physical test.
"The effort test is vital if you are going to do a sport continuously," says Andarias. The sailor took the opportunity to show his gratitude to REMA: "to be in the hands of REMA and the best cardiologists is a luxury", and continued: "we are lucky in the region to have these services."
