November 19 from 2019 - 12: 18

The Department of Addiction Prevention, with the collaboration of the Associated Center of the UNED of Dénia, has organized a new edition of the workshop Habilitats Socials, 2019-2020 course, with 6 students. Primary. The first part of the workshop was given from 11 to November 19 to a population about 500 schoolchildren from eleven schools in Dénia, the Xara and Jesús Pobre.

The objective of the workshop is for students to acquire, develop and / or improve skills related to social skills, providing them with tools that allow them to have an adequate interaction in different social contexts and facilitate the control of behavior in different situations with which they can find throughout life.

Through play and theatricalization of real situations, students work social skills to improve the management of relationships and interactions, both with peers and with other people; as well as the management of conflict situations. The whole workshop revolves around empathy, self-concept, peer pressure, among many other social skills.

Near and real everyday situations are proposed to them, which develop along group dynamics 3: one about self-concept and self-esteem, a second about group pressure and, finally, a third about empathy.

After each session, the teachers filled out a questionnaire to assess the incidence of the activity and its practical utility.

The Councilor for Addiction Prevention, Melani Ivars, attended one of the workshop sessions, the one held at CEIP Las Vessanes, to see the dynamics of the activity and how they permeate student learning.
