The Department of Sports of the City of Dénia has organized the talk on Nordic walking "Beach and mountain wellness, exercise and sport tool", aimed at all those interested in learning more about this type of resistance activity and outdoor exercise consisting of walking with poles similar to those used in skiing.
The event, which has the collaboration of the Fundació Baleària, will be held on Friday, 5 in April, at 20 hours in the Paraula house (Maritime station de Baleària) and it will be free. It will have the intervention of the doctor and Nordic walking instructor, Xavier Marí, president of the Association of Valencian Spas and director of the Spa of Montanejos; and Carles Ferris, president of the Mountain Sports Federation of the Valencian Community.
According to the council area, Vicent Crespo, has been organized with the aim of "to publicize the technique and the essence of this sporting activity for all ages, which recovers the attractiveness and pleasure of walking and reports multiple mental and physical benefits".
