This new vessel will have the mission of facilitating the maneuvers of ships and will be available to 100% for rescue and emergency work in the area.
It is a tug Stan Tug 1004 model, about 11 meters in length, 4,5 of sleeve, with a VOLVO Penta D9 MH / 1 engine of 221 horses, which is more eco-efficient than the engines of the two tugs that have operated in the dianense port to the present and those it replaces (the Sea Nostromo IV and Ocean XV). This engine, which reduces gas emissions, will allow the vessel to reach 8.3 speed knots and 4.1 tons of draft.
The new tugboat is scheduled to perform sea tests in Dutch waters in the next few days, and next month it will be delivered to Baleària. Your delivery will coincide with the removal of the tugboat Ocean XV and it should be remembered that the shipping company has already withdrawn the Sea Nostromo IV, a few weeks ago. The first has been operating since the year 1997, first in Ciutadella (Menorca) and later in the dianense dock. Regarding the second, which is part of the port fleet from 2005, it has always operated in the port of Dénia.
