Last Saturday there was a morning of promotion of handball, in the grass field of the athletics track, which had a good participation. This event organized by the CD Garbi Dénia, with the collaboration of the Department of Sports of Dénia, took place in the lawn of the municipal sports center.
The coaches and monitors of the Municipal School of Handball prepared a day of games, combined with exercises typical of this sport and sprinkled with mini matches, in which everyone enjoyed a lot.
The participating girls and boys had the opportunity to get to know this sport since for some of the students this was their first contact with a handball.
As planned in the program, there was a moment for relaxation where a lunch was offered with a drink for everyone. This allowed to recover energies to later recover physical activity to its maximum level.
Need the local league
The organization of this day of cohabitation together with the creation of the local league in which most of the schools of the town participate, is very necessary to ensure the most immediate future of a sport that in its first team is only nourished of players from the Dianense quarry.
From the coordination of the Municipal School of Handball and the CD Garbi Dénia, thanks were given to all the monitors, players and volunteers who contributed to the realization of the day. Obviously the participants were thanked for their attendance and they are expected in the games in which the Garbi Dénia CD teams participate, since it is a motivation for the little ones to see their own coaches in action.
