More than 1.500 people sympathize with the progress of Breast Cancer Day

More than 1.500 people participated this past Sunday, October 16, in one of the appointments of solidarity in Dénia, Day Walk Breast Cancer. A walk that serves to support those fighting the disease and give visibility to the group, and that Dénia has achieved great significance in only four editions.

About 9: 30 morning participants gathered in the parking lot Marina de Denia, where some pre-race activities had been prepared with a Zumba instructor. Minutes after 10 in the morning the participants started the march that would take them along the coast of Les Rotes to the beach of les Arenetes, where they arrived minutes before 11 in the morning.

There, staff organization and made available to participants water, juice and fruit to regain strength while awaiting the most iconic moment of this quote: placing a giant pink bow on the beach. This year, as new, pink tie arrived by boat, thanks to Marina de Dénia, and was placed again for children and some people who have fought and fight the disease.

Pablo Segarra, president of the AECC in Dénia, welcomed the cooperation of everyone who participated this year and have managed to surpass the record of last year, when involving a 1.300 people.

A day of sport, health and solidarity that brought together different sectors of society Dianense not hesitate to show their support for the cause. Including the Rotary Club Denia, several town councilors, media partners and families who shared Sunday in a different way.
