Marina Salud and the Dénia National Police collaborate in the campaign 'Enjoy good digital health

Marina Salud and the National Police of Dénia collaborate in the prevention, detection and treatment of computer abuses by minors. To this end, the campaign has been launched by the Dianense commissary "Enjoy good digital health".

Alejandro Sánchez, Chief Inspector of the Dénia Police Station, accompanied by the Delegate of Citizen Participation of the National Police of Dénia, Caterina de Francisco, presented the initiative to the management of Marina Salud. The manager of Marina Salud, Luis Carretero, the director of Human Resources and Communication, Corpus Gómez, the director of Primary Care, Ana María Morote and the head of the Pediatric Service, Josep Mut, received her willingly.

Caterina De Francisco, explained that, "80% of lawsuits related to minors have to do with extortion and abuses in the digital domain" While the doctor, Josep Mut stressed that, "the number of cases with pathology that arrive are very high, this makes 10 years did not exist".

Tips to be followed by adults and minors

This campaign offers a series of tips aimed at both adults and children. Among the recommendations addressed to minors is the maximum protection of privacy on the Internet, covering the webcam on computers and mobile devices, not uploading other people's images without permission or not accepting strangers on social networks.

For the parents, the National Police advises to agree on norms with the children for the use of the TIC, to supervise the behavior of the minors in the network, to share tastes and likings with the children, to respect their sleep hours and to encourage outdoor activities, equality and respect for the rights of others.

In the Department of Health of Dénia tackles the addictions of minors to technology in the Addictive Behavior Unit (UCA). For cases of severe pathology, the Child-Mental Health Unit (USMIA) is responsible for treating these patients.

The digital health campaign will be extended, next October, to the Pediatrics teams of the Hospital de Dénia and the different health centers of the Marina Alta. Training is also planned for employees with minor children.

In addition, the management of Marina Salud is committed to developing a protocol for detecting cases and referring them to the Family Unit (UFAM) and Woman of the National Police in Dénia.
