15 September 2019 - 00: 32

The Marina and Resort Marina de Denia host the regatta again “League 100 palates solidarity Suma”, a social and sports initiative that is based on raising public awareness in an inclusive way about the positive contribution that rowing sport has had and continues to have in people who have fought and / or continue to fight against breast cancer.

“Thanks to the Rem Club for their concerns and their humanity, being able to offer this possibility to many women and open up to an environment of athletes. I am convinced that it will be of great help ”, commented Gabriel Martínez, director of Marina de Dénia.

This idea emerged last year from the hand of Dr. María José Santana and in this edition the Valencian Rowing Federation has joined, so registration for this challenge will be free. The day is celebrated on Sunday 22 in September.

The first part of this challenge will take place from 9 to 11 hours, in order to promote the event so that the associations that currently exist to fight breast cancer in the Valencian Community, family, friends and anyone interested can try the rowing for free.

During 30 and 50 minutes you can try different boats such as falucho, llaüt, paddle board, etc.

The second part of the challenge will take place at 11 hours and registrations from 8 to 9: 15 in the tent enabled in Marina de Dénia. The sleeves of each challenge will have a distance between 350 and 400 meters (100 paddles) without tack, more accessible for the participants who paddle recreationally and can enjoy this challenge without being a very high level of demand.

The challenge will have two categories: Brave, formed by eight breast cancer survivors, the helmsman (monitor or coach) may or may not be a breast cancer survivor. And the category equal, formed by a minimum of a breast cancer survivor athlete, the rest of the team will be formed by athletes from health rowing groups that have a non-competitive card, the helmsman (monitor or coach) can or can be a breast cancer survivor .

The second challenge will be held on Sunday 29 in September at the Royal Regatta Club of Alicante and the third in the Yacht Club of Benidorm, the October 19.
