The XIII Minijocs of the Marina Alta, the largest sporting event of all that take place in the region with the protagonism of boys and girls, will be held from 17 to 19 in May, as announced at the presentation that took place in the city of Dénia.
A stage where some mayors, mayors of sports and sports technicians of the participating populations in this great sporting event met. As in previous editions, in some competitions and for reasons of calendars a day before will begin to play some disciplines.
For this edition 19 participant populations, since Murla and Vall d 'Laguar will not be present. The organization announced a close participation to the 1.300 athletes.
The Mayor of Dénia, Vicent GrimaltHe acted as host and addressed the audience with words of thanks and welcome for all and spoke of this event commenting that "It is a sporting and brotherhood meeting between boys and girls from a whole region that is committed to sport as a link of vertebration and this is very important for its subsequent development as people".
The dianense sports councilor, Vicent Crespo, wishing that "Everything goes very well since I know that the work that is done from all municipalities is very great. We all have the illusion of continuing to grow with this important sporting event".
The turn of parliaments concluded with the intervention of Vicent Colomer, mayor of sports of Xàbia and last president of the late Consorci Esportiu Marina Alta, who recalled that "We have a special edition ahead of us, one more to continue growing. I want to congratulate the regional representatives and the Regional Taula del Esport, their work in enormous and can be seen in each edition of the most numerous sports event of all that are held in the region ".
Horse riding is the great novelty of this edition
The great novelty that this edition presents is the Riding competition. The Valencian women's pilota competition is also a premiere. As in the previous edition, establish some venues, in addition to the Dénia, as are those of Xàbia, which will host the karate competition; that of Teulada, with the badmitón competition; Ondara, where the table tennis tournament will be held, and La Xara where the circuit for the Btt competition is.
The Olympic torch will begin the tour of all the participating municipalities next April 1 from Calpe. The arrival in Dénia will be the next 15 in May at the 17: 45, two days later the opening ceremony will take place. XIII Minijocs of the Marina Alta, with the ignition of the cauldron. The Olympic flame will preside over the games until the 19 day, when once the competitions are over and the awards have been handed out, it will go out.
