Senior male team Dénia Básquet of the zonal category, managed to add its second title this season, since at the beginning of it won the trophy of the Valencian League, back in the month of October. To this award is added the one won this week by winning the final of the Federation trophy to the Ilicitano CB by 58 to 56.
The team led by Bernardo Sanz started the match much more concentrated than his rival and his were the first advantages in the scoreboard that came to be thirteen points to reach the halftime with advantage of nine (32-23).
After the break came the reaction of CB Ilicitano who raised a point more defensive intensity to cut the difference and get to tie the shock to 45 points.
Although Dénia Básquet reacted and never got to lose the lead, the final was presumed to be from infanto. In fact it was the ilicitanos who had the last possession in their hands, that is to say, they could sentence the clash with a triple throw or force the extension with a basket of two points. But the good defensive performance of the boys of Bernardo Sanz, left an uncomfortable launch option, the ball did not enter and the dianenses were awarded the title of champions.
Point out the good work of all the kids but special mention to an illustrious veteran like Carlos Vila who was distinguished as best player in the final (MVP).
