The SUMA League of Rowing of the Fixed Bank of the Mediterranean made its stop in Dénia. More than 600 rowers gathered in the area of the Marina and Tourist Marina de Denia to dispute a determining test in the calendar. The "Desamparados Trophy" organized by the Rem Marina de Dénia Club.

The two veteran teams of the Rem Marina Club of Dénia and the Absolutes of the Real Club Regattas of Alicante achieved the triumph for the second consecutive regatta.

With only three races to go, the results of the day were crucial to mark the direction of the league. The veteran teams of the Rem Marina Club of Dénia knew how to take advantage of the fact that they played at home to distance themselves from the rest of the boats.

In the case of the men's category, the results of the test have meant some changes in the classification so the victory of the dianenses allows them to extend their distance with respect to their more direct rivals.

On the other hand, the veterans of this same club continue to grow regatta after regatta, which explains their new victory and their desire to lead the category.

In absolute terms, the Real Club Regatas de Alicante teams continue to impose their authority. One more week and before the pressure of the rest of the teams they knew how to maintain their leadership, getting a new gold in their palmares that ensures, more if possible, their autonomy in the league.

The quarry ensures the future of the oar

The day held in Dénia was the best example that the base of the oar continues to consolidate. A total of 12 cadet teams, between men, women and mixed, formed part of the competition demonstrating that training and daily effort are the basis of good results.

Both boys and girls went out to the water to give the best of themselves, hence the wind against the first length, which they had to face all of them, was no more than an easy obstacle to overcome. Finally, and as it happened with veterans and absolute, the boat of the Real Club Nautico de Gandía repeated gold for the second consecutive regatta. Highlight the cadets of Real Club Nautico Denia that were second. In the case of the boys, it was the Campello Nautical Club that obtained the victory.

The youth teams also demonstrated in this race their sporting maturity and their ability to excel in a competition where the wind and consequently the tacks, were complicated. The boys of the Club Rem Marina de Dénia, had their prominence as the host team to get the victory of the race while in the case of the girls, were the shirts of the Nautical Club of Santa Pola which rose to number one in the box.

After this competition, in two weeks the teams will see each other again. This time in waters of Altea.
