February 18 from 2018 - 09: 59

Week Mig Any de Moors and Christians of Dénia started this Saturday with the presentation ceremony of the Tro Primers, ambassadors, captains and flagmen of the year 2018, an act that was held in the County Hall on Saturday morning and presented by the former president of the AMMICC, Amparo Bush.

Precisely the celebration on Saturday was one of the important changes of this year's program, the first Mig Any that captains the new president, Rafa Cheli. The act counted with a massive public attendance, that surrounded the positions of this year in its first official act.

The first to go on stage were the outgoing president, Miguel Ángel Fullana, and the current president, Rafa Cheli. After the exchange of badges, Fullana dedicated some words to the festeros, with whom he has shared an important part of his life in the last two years.

Then, taking advantage of the presence on the stage of the two presidents, a recognition was given to the work of Antonio González, treasurer for several legislatures, of whom his dedication to the party was praised disinterestedly for so many years.

The president of the FEMMICC wanted to have a memory for José Pérez Cascarra, historical dianense festero that left us a few weeks ago. His grandchildren, David and Eli, went up excited to collect this recognition to the former founding member of the filà Amiries in 1980.

The act continued with the presentation of those who this year will hold the position of First Tró in each filà, who took their place on the stage, along with their banners. With all the charges presented, it was necessary to appoint the highest representatives of this year. For this, it counted on the collaboration of the secretaries of the filaes Mozarabs y berebers, who read the minutes of appointment of the captains and flaggers for this exercise.

The Christian captain, Vicente Correcher, went up accompanied by his flag bearer, Paqui Fernández, while the Christian captain, Miguel Asunción, did it with his flag bearer, Antonia Bolufer. All of them received the badge from the president. The ambassadors of this year of each side also went up to the stage.

This year, as a novelty, last year's captains and flaggers passed the baton to their successors. So, Kiko Sentí and María José López gave Vicente and Miguel the swords that accredit them as captains, and in which their names will be engraved for the history of Dénia. For their part, the flag bearers 2017, Alicia Sentí and Salvador Gil, gave Paqui and Antonia the flags of each side that they must carry at official acts.

After the exchange of gifts between captains and flag-bearers, the act of presenting the festivities ended, to give way to the awards ceremony of the children's drawing competition organized every year by the FEMMICC.
