The proposals of the PSPV Dénia to "continue recovering neighborhood life" in Oest-Campaments and Les Roques

El PSPV-PSOE de Dénia highlights in its electoral program to continue working to improve two of the historic centers of the city, together with the fishing district, "in which neighborhood life has been progressively losing space drowned by traffic." They refer to Plaza Valgamediós and its surroundings and the neighborhood of Les Roques.

During the last two legislatures at the head of the city government, the Socialists of Dénia have focused their main actions on this area to recover "that neighborhood life" through a series of urban interventions, improving the aesthetics of emblematic places "and have returned to citizenship," they say.

The redevelopment of Calle Mayor, Pare Pere and the new Plaza Valgamediós or the improvement of Calle Sant Francesc are examples of the transformation of both neighbourhoods, in which he deepens the new government program of the PSPV-PSOE Dénia.

"As we always defend, ours is a commitment to a different city, more sustainable, friendlier and in line with which large cities work for the future", in the words of Vicent Grimalt, Socialist candidate for mayor and current mayor of Dénia.

Following this line of work, among the proposals of the "hecho a cien manos" program, with the participation of citizens, for the neighborhood of Les Roques is expected to continue with the redevelopment and modernization of its streets. Starting with the ones below, such as Sant Antoni or Sant Pasqual, they plan to go up until they complete a fully renovated neighborhood. The objective is, in addition to the aesthetic improvement, to eliminate architectural barriers and make it more accessible with the implementation of the single platform, just as it was done in Sant Francesc street.

In Valgamediós square, "a new space won for people", its transformation will culminate with a children's play area, vegetation and street furniture.

All these actions will be accompanied by an expansion of the park and ride areas, such as those already set up on Avenida de Valencia, Calle Isaac Peral and in front of the Llebeig school. Soon, the neighborhood will have a new public parking and free on Elena Morand street. On the other hand, the redevelopment of Les Roques also contemplates a improvement of the parking system for residents through smart bollards.

But these two historic neighborhoods have grown in recent decades at the pace of the city's economic and industrial development, concentrated in the Campaments area and the polygon Madrigueres industry. After the improvements carried out in the last four years, with the much-needed asphalting and signaling of the industrial estate or the unfolding of Camí de la Bota, the new program includes more historical demands of the city that will come true during the next legislature , promise the socialists.

For example, the construction of the new CEE Raquel Payà, on the land occupied by the old municipal nurseries. Or the plot of the current special education center where the new Conservatory and the classroom for the Official School of Languages will be built. All these works are already included and budgeted in the Plan Edificant of Generalitat.

And in terms of sports facilities, the renovation of the first track in Madrigueres has already begun and the new program proposes to continue with the renovation of the rest. Actions that, the PSPV-PSOE Dénia assures, "will fill these emblematic neighborhoods of Dénia with life."
