The closure to traffic of Marqués de Campo and Glorieta del País Valencià aims to promote pedestrian traffic and, thus, reduce noise and pollution in the center of Dénia. However, this also means reducing the parking space to access the area. And not only for cars, but also for motorcycles.
To try to compensate for this situation, the Dénia City Council has installed new parking areas for two-wheeled vehicles on neighboring streets. Specifically, in Vicent Andrés Estellés and l'Estació, with 12 and 13 places respectively.
However, even so, it is not enough to cover the entire need for on-site parking, which previously had more space for it. This is evident with the images of the first days of the parking areas, where the motorcycles that enter are found that, from the first hour, there is no room for more vehicles. This lack forces users of this type of vehicle to resort, as cars already do, to the public parking lots located about 700 meters from the city center.
