Women of the Salvation Army participated in a national meeting in Guadalajara

Part of the Dénia Salvation Army women's group traveled last week to Guadalajara for a four-day national meeting. Women came from the Canary Islands, Galicia, Catalonia, Valencian Community, Mallorca and the Community of Madrid, enjoyed four days of disconnection.

The venue of this meeting was Peña de Horeb, located at the foot of the river Tajo, between the reservoirs of Entrepeñas and Buendía, a corner surrounded by nature and rivers. In a very familiar atmosphere and during four days different activities were carried out: swimming pool, canoes, walks, handicraft time, Bible studies and rest, all in an atmosphere of fraternization.

The motto of the camp was Transformed And discussed issues such as the Acts of Social Justice, which means to show impartiality, honesty and integrity in all our dealings.

Assistance to the First Social Inclusion Fair EAPN-Madrid

Meanwhile, Major Cristóbal Álvarez and soldier Basilio Harós will travel to Madrid to represent the Salvation Army at the First Social Inclusion Fair that will take place on 29's June 2017 on the Matadero ships, Madrid.

Major Álvarez has been assigned as responsible for the presence of the Salvation Army in this Fair, the preparation of the material and coordination are their responsibilities in the First Social Inclusion Fair.

It is expected a great assistance of visitors who will be able to know firsthand about fifty organizations that will show through informative desks, videos, photocall, message rack, videos, etc. The work they do in our society, sometimes a very quiet and constant work that helps a large part of our society that is in a serious situation of vulnerability.
