Tears melt with the rain in the cremà of the 2018 falleros monuments

The rain that fell from the last hour of the afternoon on the city of Dénia partially tarnished the cream of the Fallas monuments, a cream advanced in the schedule that elapsed without incidents despite the inclement weather.

The first to burn, as is traditional, was that of the Local Board Fallera, the play Sélvame Deluxe of the artist Enric Ginestar that during these days has been planted at the intersection between Diana and La Mar streets.

Las Fallas over Dénia, Melani Ivars and Carla Vianroz, lit the fuse with which the falla that has represented them during these days began to burn, and saw how the flames put an end to a very special year for the two of them and their courts of honor.

Melani could not contain the tears of emotion with the mixed feelings: happiness for having fulfilled a dream and the sadness of knowing that it is over and will not return. Both she and the members of the courts of honor let the tears flood their faces. Not so the little Carla, who lived in a spontaneous and funny way the cremà of the fault, surrounding her with her court of honor and enjoying the moment.

To the tune of the Fallero, interpreted by the Banda de Dénia, the fault turned into ashes and with it began the cremàs of the rest of monuments scattered around the city in one of the most intense (and cold) nights of winter.
