The UNED collects more than 800 kilos of food in the solidarity day '1 book x 1 kilo'

The center associated with UNED Dénia has done it one more year. This time, he has managed to collect more than 800 kilos of nonperishable food in the fifth edition of the day 1 1 book x kilo, where volunteers exchanged culture of solidarity. Tuesday, April 25, the gates of the Municipal House of Culture Denia welcomed the day, in which a large number of volunteers coordinated the food-for books or what is the same, solidarity culture change. The symposium also joined the Mayor of Dénia, Vicent GrimaltAnd the Councilor for Education and Culture, Rafa CarrióWho they were accompanied by the director of the UNED Associated Center of Denia, Raquel Martí.

During his visit, the mayor recognized the importance of this initiative and the value of the UNED as solidarity and close to the problems affecting society body. For its part, the director of the UNED stressed the indispensable collaboration UNED staff and all the volunteers, a total of 35, who helped in organizing the campaign.

As every year, the UNED had the collaboration of students from various schools in the city. In total, they came close to 200 students from different schools, highlighting the presence of several groups of CIP Montgó and Pou de la Muntanya, plus a first group of IES Secondary 3 number of Dénia.
