Psychopathological therapy has reached the pediatric inpatient facility of the Hospital de Dénia. It is a system that, through artistic tools, works the emotions with the aim of detecting early certain dysfunctions, such as childhood traumas caused by bullying, sexual abuse or family disruption.
Through painting and other artistic disciplines, the therapist, Alicia Costa, works new methods of expressing emotions. So far the workshops have been conducted with adult patients in the Hemodialysis Unit and the Oncology Service. The Department of Health of Dénia also collaborates with the Association of Relatives of Alzheimer's patients in Teulada, where these workshops have also been implemented for patients.
Psychocreative therapy is included in the Workshops for Patients program offered through the Art Project, "cuidArt", the Department of Health of Dénia with the objective of humanizing the sanitary spaces and improving the stay of the patients
