03 June 2017 - 18: 12

Dénia has received this Saturday, with open arms and a warm reception, the French cyclists who for the fourth year have traveled the 1.230 kilometers between Angers and the capital of the Marina Alta with the charitable purpose of raising funds for the Facing the association Edging.

After the 11: 30 of the morning, they made their entrance in the Place of the Constitution Raphael, Christophe, Vincent, Philippe and Franck, accompanied by a hundred of cyclists that waited for them in the IES Maria Ibars to realize the last section with them. Around 200 people, most users of the association and their families, waited in the arcades of the City Hall with banners, French flags and emotion on their faces.

French cyclists were welcomed by councilors of Social Welfare, Cristina MoreraAnd education, Rafa Carrió, Who addressed a few words of welcome and gratitude before handing them diplomas of thanks for their solidarity work.

Next, the makers of this feat took the floor, thanks to which they have managed to collect a total of 6.500 euros that will help Condemned to the Curb to finance the different activities that it carries out with disabled people in the region.

The cyclists explained that this year's tour has not been free of adventures, such as being chased by a swarm of bees, a dog and a bull, as told with laughter. An effort that, they said, has been worthwhile to see the faces of the users of Condemned to the Curb, an association kept in the heart and whose work praised on arrival in Denia.
