The sixth edition of the 'A for Inclusion' program allows seven people with disabilities to be hired

For the sixth consecutive year the Condemned to Curb Association start the project A by inclusion with which the local Association will offer different services to more 80 people with disabilities. The objective of the project is the incorporation to the working world of people with disabilities. Seven people will participate in this course: Mar, Javier, Sergio, David, Aroa, José Luís and Raúl, who will have the support of a speech therapist (Alona).

In addition, it is very important to point out that this year Mar Dalmau, a user and volunteer of the Association with cerebral palsy, has joined the project, which is an impulse to visualize and normalize the group of functional diversity. His work is administrative and also speaker of the multitude of days and talks of awareness that makes condemned.

The biomedical company Pfizer, together with the collaboration of Adecco Foundation, make this project possible. Pfizer will contribute 20.250 € for this year, which makes it possible to hire workers.

The project will be developed from September of the 2018 until June of the 2019, and deals "that people with disabilities work for people with disabilities" from the different services that the Association Condemned to curb offers the group of functional diversity in the region of the Marina Alta.

The activities offered by the Association, and in which the people hired will work are the following:

  • Works with seven groups with different disability profiles (sports activities, development of basic motor skills, speech therapist ...)
  • Individualized attention service for users with very severe disabilities, which takes place in the Multisensory Room of the Dénia town hall
  • Reinforcement of other projects carried out by the Association, such as the Municipal School of Adapted Sports of the City of Dénia and after-school activities at the Raquel Payá School in Dénia.

Project activities A by inclusion they are developed, in morning and afternoon, in the facilities of the IES Maria Ibars, Llunàtics and the Seu d'Associacions of the Town Hall of Dénia, the school Raquel Payà, Tapis de Dénia and Club Naútico de Dénia.

Adecco has an agreement with the Pfizer company with the dual purpose of offering support to social entities and promoting the social and labor integration of people with disabilities. In the case of "A for inclusion", since the same year 2013, Pfizer donates funds to the project and the Adeccco Foundation is responsible for managing it.

The Department of Social Affairs and the Department of Sports of the City of Dénia also collaborate with this project from the first moment that was created, with the cession of a van to displace users, the contribution of a monitor and several facilities, without the which would be unfeasible to carry out the project.
