The platform Against Water Abuses will convene meetings with all parties of the City Council before elections

Decona, the citizen platform that advocates the lowering of water bill rates, has announced that it will convene meetings with the political parties that currently have representation in the City of Dénia in order to know their positions and proposals in the face of the problem of the water bill.

The platform, which met yesterday in the consistory with several political representatives and members of Aqualia, intends with these meetings to know in depth the opinion of the political parties that will attend the elections and be able to assess their vote for the 26 in May .

At the meeting held at the town hall, the members of the platform were able to clarify some of the doubts they have about the water bill. From the City Council they were given a dossier in which the details of what is paid on each invoice were desgranaban. After the meeting, the mayor explained that the Dénia bill "It is not above average, on the contrary, in many cases it is below other municipalities".

Regarding the proposal to lower the receipt, the mayor acknowledged that "to cover the expenses of a city like Dénia that has no swamp, large desalination plant or a river that brings us water" It is necessary to pay for this infraestrcuture through the water bill or through municipal taxes.

From the consistory positively assessed this meeting, which served to clarify the doubts of the members of the platform, as explained by the deputy mayor, Rafa Carrió.
