The opposition denounces the "intransigent" attitude of the councilor for urban planning

November 28 from 2017 - 19: 04

The opposition groups in the City of Dénia have denounced the "uncompromising attitude" of the Councilor for Territory and Urban Quality, Maria Josep Ripoll, to request a report from the municipal secretary and comptroller on the possible economic consequences of the cancellation of the PAIs pending in the municipality, specifically from the UNO B-4 sector.

In a statement sent from the group Ciudadanos affirm that "Ripoll denies the need for such reports on the grounds that it is not the time for processing where such responsibilities may occur", while from the opposition they consider that the cancellation of the extension proposed by the government team automatically entails the cancellation of the PAI and with it the payment of the lands that the City Council obtained through an agreement.

It is because of that PP, Cs and GDCU have asked the secretary and controller to detail the number of lots that the City has acquired in this way from the sector and value them, according to the cost that the town hall is paying as compensation.

In the letter sent to the municipal secretary, the opposition has assured that "Only the land of the ill-fated Ecocamp project is 10.000 m2 and that the latest judgments value such expropriations to 1.000 € / m2 which would mean 10 million euros". They also recalled that the law prevents taking initiatives that involve a financial outlay for the City for which you have no budget or can not assume.

The law obliges the secretary to pronounce himself by means of a report when it is requested by at least one third of the councilors of the plenary session, as is the case, and since the opposition is expected "That this matter be perfectly clarified for future responsibilities that may arise".
