The House of the Paraula de Baleària Port hosts the 20 hours an interesting conference under the title, "The Marina Alta: Cap to a regional strategy".
Speakers include Ignassi Cervera degree in Environmental Science from the University Miguel Hernández; Juan Miguel Rafet degree in Political Science from the UNED; José Vicente Sánchez, degree in geography from the University of Alicante and María José Ripoll, Degree in geography from the University of Valencia.
Research magazine Institut d`Estudis Comarcals Marina Alta Aguaits, published in 2013 a monographic dossier on territorial conflicts and citizen mobilizations in the last four decades in the Marina Alta, carried out by a group of young researchers concerned about this territory.
In the dossier is argued for the need for prudent management of the territory from a new national debate which will involve all social actors, establishing the necessary steps to achieve real criteria and applied by leaders from the Territorial strategy itself the Valencian Community.
The team that wrote this monograph is offered at this conference its findings from four levels of action: Vision region and strategic approach, Interior territorial and landscape planning, participation in areas of high ambientas and cultural value and Policies open government at the local level.
