Fair Acquired Brain Injury focuses on the adaptation of patients in their return home

Coinciding with the celebration of World Day of Acquired Brain Injury, Hospital organized the Third Fair Pedrera on this topic last Saturday. The objective? Raise public awareness on an issue that can affect anyone at any point in their lives.

For this, tables were set up during the day in which citizens could undergo cardiovascular and cerebral health exams in which, among other things, the risk of having a stroke was reported. And it is that the awareness of society remains one of the fundamental pillars when talking about Acquired Brain Damage, although, as reported by the director of the hospital, Jaume Morera, society is increasingly aware of this frequent problem.

III Fair Acquired Brain Injury Dénia

During the morning talks in which the importance of adapting to the patient's environment was exposed once back home, with or without sequelae, after being treated in hospital for this disease occurred. Neurologists, nurses, orderlies and patients gave their view on this issue, helping to understand the situation faced by patients and family members even better.

At the opening of the conference, which was held at the Social Center of Denia, they attended Jaume Morera, the Councilor for Health of the City of Dénia, Cristina Morera; and the new commissioner of health of Dénia, Pere Cervera.

Cristina Morera used his speech to reaffirm the Council's commitment to the citizens of Denia and the region have at their disposal a quality health services and the same conditions as other citizens of the Region.

For its part, the new commissioner claimed to have the doors open for everyone who wants to address issues related to the department.
