The Primary Care of the Department of Health of Dénia -DSD- has received four distinctions this week from the Conselleria de Sanitat for its good clinical practices. The recognition, which should have been held in March 2020 and was suspended due to the pandemic, has been chaired by the new Minister of Health, Miguel Mínguez. It was attended by the Director of Care and Services, Natalia Casado; the Quality Director; Juan Manuel Lacalle; the Primary Nursing Coordinator, María José Más Llull, and the coordinators of the Teulada basic area, María Galán and Juan José Miñana.

The Conselleria de Sanitat has distinguished 29 projects of all those presented by the 24 Valencian health departments, of which 4 are from Dénia. The recognized clinical practices are Teledermatology, the Argos program for the management of chronic patients, the promotion of handwashing in Primary Care and the development of the Moviliza't Program, in collaboration with the Teulada City Council.

During 2019, the DSD implemented Teledermatology in the health centers of the Marina Alta. The awarded practice is carried out in Primary Care which, upon suspicion of any type of dermatological lesion, initiates an interconsultation through Nursing, using technology.

The image is captured with a dermatoscope and, by means of a tablet, it is loaded into the patient's Electronic Medical Record. Specialists in Dermatology are the ones who make the clinical reports and their corresponding diagnosis and treatment prescription.

For their part, the health professionals of the Basic Health Area of Teulada, together with the City Council, launched the program, "Activa't, mobilize't", in which health professionals prescribe physical activity for chronic patients and the City Council, through a personal trainer who draws up a table of exercises.
