Since the last update, the Valencian Community has registered 463 new coronavirus infections confirmed by PCR test, which put the total number of positives at 25.491 people. By province, the distribution is as follows: 38 in Castellón (2.774 in total); 165 in the province of Alicante (7.850 in total); and 259 in the province of Valencia (14.862 in total). Additionally, there are still 5 unassigned cases.
Currently, the accumulated incidence rate in the Valencian Community in the last 14 days stands at 127,68 cases per 100.000 inhabitants, while the average in Spain is 211,84 cases per 100.000 inhabitants.
On the other hand, 593 patients with coronavirus have been discharged, so the total number of people cured since the start of the pandemic stands at 26.770: 3.282 in Castellón, 8.365 in Alicante and 15.057 in Valencia. In addition, there are 66 unassigned discharges.
Valencian hospitals currently have 382 people admitted: 40 in the province of Castellón, with 8 patients in ICU; 109 in the province of Alicante, 19 of them in the ICU; and 233 in the province of Valencia, 24 of them in the ICU.
Thus, there are currently 5.866 active cases, which represents 17,18% of all positive cases.
On the other hand, 1 death from coronavirus has been registered, so the total number of deaths amounts to 1.518 people: 227 in the province of Castellón, 524 in that of Alicante and 767 in that of Valencia.
The total number of tests carried out for the detection of the coronavirus amounts to 842.303, of which 697.756 have been through PCR and 142.547 through rapid tests.
Updating the situation in residences
Currently there are some positive cases in 40 nursing homes for the elderly (3 in the province of Castellón, 18 in the province of Alicante and 20 in the province of Valencia), 6 residences for people with functional diversity (1 in the province of Alicante, 2 in the province of Castellón and 3 in the province of Valencia) and 2 centers for minors (1 in the province of Castellón and 1 in the province of Valencia).
