Josep Bernabeu-Mestre, director of GASTERRA, candidate for the National Gastronomy Awards

The Doctor of Medicine and Professor of History of Science of the University of Alicante, Professor Josep Bernabeu, has received the nomination as finalist of the National Gastronomy Awards. He will face two other personalities, where the defense made by each of the values ​​of Healthy Gastronomy will be valued.

The past 25 of June was launched this 44 edition of the National Gastronomy Awards, which recognize the work of professionals linked to the gastronomy sector during the 2018.

These awards representing the evolution of culinary culture in Spain, have recognized throughout their 44 years of existence the work of 48 heads of cuisine, 45 room directors, 19 sommeliers, 46 journalists and 50 special awards.

The director GASTERRA He has been nominated together with the prestigious chef Eneko Atxa and the professor in nutrition Rosé María Ortega professor at the University Complutense of Madrid. It must be imposed on them to achieve its almost second prize in a row, because the Carmencita Chair of Studies of Gastronomic Taste, which Bernabeu directs, also recently received the Institutional Chair Award from the Social Council of the University of Alicante.
