Photographer John Lillie presents an exciting collection of 67 photographs in his latest exhibition titled Homage to Famous Photographers. Each of these captivating images pays tribute to a leading internationally renowned photographer.
Although Lillie's photographs are not exact copies, they masterfully capture the essence and distinctive style of each of the honored photographers. To carry out this project, all the models that participated in the portraits were completely immersed in the spirit of the project, dressing and assuming similar poses to those of the original images.
Each photograph is accompanied by a detailed information card. These cards feature a small image showing the original photo of the renowned photographer, along with an explanation in three languages: English, Spanish and French. These cards narrate how each tribute image came to be, including a brief history and a related anecdote.
The exhibition will open its doors to the public on July 6 at 19:00 p.m. and will run until August 27, 2023. The event will take place at the Center d'Art l'Estació, located in the same building that he Toy Museum in Dénia.
