At around 10 am on Friday, the sound of the sirens has completely paralyzed Archduke Carlos and the beginning of Alicante avenue. A new house fire had broken out in the middle of the city.
On the first floor of a large block of flats, a fire has broken out that has completely devoured the house. Totally calcined, according to firefighter sergeant Ximo Sala.
"I have been going for a long time because it has set the entire apartment on fire and has also affected the stairs and the doors of the houses on the upper floors. It was fortunate that there was no one and there was no damage to people," he commented after extinguishing the fire.
The causes have been impossible to determine as it was such a widespread fire. However, the rapid action of the firefighters, having moved two trucks to the place, has prevented it from going further and they have managed to put an end to the flames in just a few minutes.
"If people cannot go out, what they have to do is stay at home and put wet cloths under the door. It is not necessary to go out in full intervention since the staircase can be a trap," recalls Sergeant Ximo Sala.
