Dénia joins the International celebration of Women's Day, and this afternoon will celebrate the traditional institutional event in which she will recognize the work of Sonja Dietz, dianense businesswoman of which they emphasize being "A businesswoman, fighter and worker who, from her field and responsibilities, works tirelessly to spread the name of Dénia and the Marina Alta and improve the situation of the region”.
The event will be held in the Hall of City Hall and will start at 18: 30 reading the manifesto for equality signed by the Consell de la Dona. Then Sonja Dietz receive the recognition and end the event with a performance by the students of the ETC.
The activities of the International Women's Day will continue on Friday March 9. In the 11 in the morning, there will be a workshop on roles and stereotypes, organized by the Women Dénia Center of the Ministry of Justice and Social Welfare in the Social Services building.
Saturday March 10 the Diyafa Association organizes a table of experiences between women of different cultures and generations. It will be from the 17 hours at the Social Center and entry is free.
The program continues on March 13 with the talk "Caring for the family". ¿A question of women?, Given by the technician of Infodona María José Martí, in the Center of Barrio Oeste, at 17.30 hours. The entrance is open to the public.
Parallel to these activities, the associated center of the UNED in Dénia has organized the free course The reconciliation of work and family life: a future in common, which is taught in three sessions (the 25 in February and the 3 and 10 in March ) of four teaching hours each.
Activities this year are again illustrated by a work of graphic art workshop of Classrooms for the Elderly. A total of twelve designs were submitted and chose the poster created by students Adela Tarnawiecki and Olga Duxans.
