Today, like every 5 December, the Volunteer Day is celebrated. In 1985, the United Nations General Assembly declared this as the International Volunteer Day for Economic and Social Development.
This day serves to recognize the important work of all people, altruistically and selflessly collaborate in society to improve it.
This afternoon, starting at 17:30 p.m., the Federation Marina Alta Solidaria organizes a party in honor of the volunteers who collaborate with the entity at the Santa Lucía Residence. The councilor for youth and the elderly, Isabel Gallego, will attend the celebration.
