This Tuesday the big night of Spanish gastronomy was celebrated, as the long-awaited Michelin Gala took place in Barcelona. Like every year, the event serves to publicize the restaurants that are recognized with one, two or three Michelin stars in the new edition of the prestigious guide. A recognition of great international relevance and that once again includes Dénia establishments in its constellation.
The Auditori Fòrum of the Barcelona International Convention Center was the setting for the Michelin Guide gala, presented this time by the comedian Andreu Buenafuente. For the first time, this year's edition distributed the stars only to Spanish restaurants, since now the Portuguese neighbors have their own independent Michelin event.
This year's verdict does not provide any surprise for Dénia. He repeats the four stars that he already had, something that in itself is cause for celebration. The restaurant Quique Dacosta reaffirms itself as one of the most important establishments in the country, by renewing its three Michelin stars, the maximum that can be awarded. For its part, Peix & Brases consolidates its star status, which it achieved two editions ago.
