Dianense hospitality is in mourning. This Sunday has died in Dénia Jaime Gavilá Llorca, owner of the renowned restaurant Gavilá from 1967 to 2014. The funeral will take place this Monday, 14 of August, in the Church of San Antonio de Dénia at 11: 00 in the morning.
Gavilá was president of the Association of Hospitality and Tourism Entrepreneurs of the Marina Alta (Aehtma) from 1985 to 1990, and recently participated in the drafting team of Dénia's candidacy for UNESCO's Creative City of Gastronomy. In February 2016, during the celebration of the 5th Dénia Red Shrimp International Creative Cooking Contest, Jaime Gavilá was honored for his professional career and his contribution to Dénia's gastronomy.
