The restaurant Cavall i l'Androna de Dénia won the annual award of La Cata d'Or 2018 awarded by the Gastronomic Penya La Cata as a restaurant best valued for its components during the regional tour of the 2018 exercise.
The owners of the Cavall i l'Androna establishment, the brothers Alex and Raúl Tur Fornés, received the award from the president in charge who organized the food Antonio Fornés, and the current president Ximo Ivars.
The restaurant surprised the members of the Penya Gastronòmica La Cata with an author's menu prepared by chef Alex Tur and paired with a selection of wines and cavas chosen by his brother Alex.
The year dedicated the 2018 year to the raisin of the Navy, and asked each restaurateur to include a dish with this product that they later reward as "dish of the year", an award that also went to the Cavall and L'Androna for their dessert Saquets of the Navy that captivated the palates of the attendees.
