For the socialist spokesman, the reform must go beyond a change in the state model. "The debate must also focus on a constitutional reform that encompasses all social, economic, legal guarantees and citizen rights demands. It is time to propose a reform of the Spanish Constitution that contemplates a new design of Spain as a Federal State, a social clause that ensures the constitutional protection of the right to universal health, public education, housing and social security, the deepening of the mechanisms of transparency and democratic regeneration and the rights of participation of citizens in public life , the guarantee of equality, real and effective, between men and women or the revision of the reform of Article 135 ".
