The Court of Instruction Number 1 of Dénia has decreed the admission in preventive prison without bail of two prisoners, a woman of 47 years and a man of 45, both of Dutch nationality, to which imputed 3 crimes against the public health and other 3 offenses of electric power fraud.
The agents of the Investigation Area of the Civil Guard of El Vergel were aware of a possible indoor marijuana plantation, in a house in the town of Llíber. In it they observed sporadic visits of a couple, who could be identified, despite the extreme security measures they took, such as the use of surveillance cameras in the house, as well as the use of vehicles, exclusively for rent, which they renewed. frequently.
The couple, who went unnoticed among their neighbors, had two more properties, located in Parcent and L'Alfás del Pi, which were also investigated.
With all this information, the agents requested to the Judicial Authority the entry and registration of the three properties mentioned, finding in them security cameras, which monitored the 24 hours of the day. The interior of all of them was occupied by indoor crops, fully automated, equipped with state-of-the-art domotics, with 10 growing rooms monitored telematically, which they could observe from their mobile phones or from any other portable device.
These indoor cultivation rooms had an extremely advanced electrical, ventilation, filtration and irrigation system, which allowed a rapid proliferation of marijuana production. To this is added that the detainees, as they could control the devices from their phones, sealed the rooms hermetically, including the access doors, blowing CO2 gas and accelerating the production results with just a few weeks of cultivation, chaining some productions after others.
In addition, those responsible for the crops had been connected to the electricity network illegally, through illegal hookups, reaching up to three houses, according to the records measured by the electricity company, the amount of 80.000kw, that is, the usual consumption of 50 domestic housing.
