The fire in a transformer forced to evict thirty people in the center of Dénia

Around 10:45 in the morning of Tuesday the alarms went off in l'Estació street, a small road that connects the Calle Marques de Campo and Center d'Art L'EstacioParallel to the land on which the old clinic was located.

A dense black smoke alerted the residents of the building, which small explosions were added when a transformer, for reasons so far unknown, fire is lit and left without light at five plants of the two adjacent buildings.

To the scene, and after the call of one of the owners of one of the commercial premises, members of the local and national police, a truck of the Regional Fire Station and Iberdrola traladaron workers.

Seeing the dense black smoke rising from the street, there were many residents who evacuated their homes before the police arrived, but when the troops came alerted neighbors who were still in their homes that they had to vacate the building as a precaution .

The strong smell and smoke attracted the attention of several pedestrians, who approached the scene and crowded both on Marqués de Campo street and at the doors of the Center d'Art L'Estació curious to know what was happening .

Minutes after the fire was extinguished, but the neighbors will remain unlit until this afternoon, as Iberdrola have to install a generator transformer burned while replacing a new one.
