The Dénia Health Department maintains the telephone consultation procedure in Primary Care

The Department of Health of Dénia -DSD- maintains the procedures for telephone attention to patients in the health centers of the Marina Alta, established after the de-escalation.

The Director of Primary of the DSD, Antonio Barceló, emphasizes that these are procedures that are carried out throughout the national territory, by order of the Ministry of Health. In addition, it asks the population for understanding, since the avalanche of cases of patients with COVID, generated in the different coastal municipalities during the summer, has taken over the agendas of a large part of the health professionals in all the basic health areas of the Navy High.

Unlike the pre-covid scenario, in which patients went to the health center after requesting an appointment, the doctors are now the ones who contact the patient, by phone, to make the consultation.
At this time, the activity of Primary Care physicians is focused on the diagnosis and treatment of COVID patients, for which specific equipment has been assigned; Attention to the Emergencies and chronic patients and "NO_COVID", the latter by telephone or in person, at the discretion of the physician.

For their part, the nursing teams in each of the basic areas carry out telephone follow-up of COVID patients, take samples for the subsequent performance of PCRs and the usual care activity in health centers - extractions, cures and control coagulation.

In addition, it should be remembered that during this summer a new telephone switchboard -965648604- has been launched to which patients with suspected coronavirus, as well as all those who require an appointment in Primary Care, can telephone.

    In addition, the new phone is of little use, since they take time to answer and after waiting they tell you to dial your phone and they will call you.
    I can say from my own experience that many times they don't call back.
    The only solution I have found is to call the hospital phone directly

    In other words, the entire health center is focused on covid patients and the rest of the diseases or ailments no longer exist and you look for your life…. What a shame where we are getting with all this exaggeration of covid, virus, coronavirus or whatever you want to call it…. Now if you feel bad, you can no longer go to the doctor in person and you have to wait for them to call you on the phone and explain what is happening to you verbally, with obscurity or check-ups of anything. How ignorant we are to allow them to do this to us
