The Raquel Payá Special Education School in Denia participated in the past Christmas in a national contest for special education centers entitled "Happy solidarity fun 2014" and convened by the Solidarity Diversity Foundation through the social network Facebook.
The contest consisted of proposing a creative and fun activity with which the Fun Fundación Solidaria could congratulate the new year to all its friends. The users of the social network had to vote for the most creative proposal and it turned out to be that of the Raquel Payà Special Education School.
The award
The prize consisted of the financial donation of 1.500 € for school supplies and the visit of Juan D and Beatriz, a well-known children's musical duo, together with Adriana, member of the Fundación Funión Solidaria. The award was presented this past Monday.
During the visit Juan D and Beatriz signed autographs to the children of the center and offered a concert in which they sang popular songs and their own repertoire.
Happiness was reflected in the faces of the children
Juan D and Beatriz are a musical duo dedicated to the world of children, creators of their own compositions, scripts, productions and choreography. They have several projects known as "Rainbow City" and "Musical Rocket" (a section of the Lunnis program).
From the direction of the EWC Raquel Payà want to thank all those people who have given their vote through social networks and made possible a day of excitement and fun in which all the professionals of the center, families and friends were involved .
