The whole of Calvari Benidorm was superior to CD Dénia who beat 1 by 2 in the friendly clash played in the Field Diego Mena. In an afternoon of suffocating heat, both formations jumped to the pitch looking for positive feelings after their preseason work.
The match began from power to power, with two incisive teams that put a lot of pressure on the midfield and especially every time the ball went to the wings. The slogan of the local coach, Manuel Esteban, was clear: try to steal the ball and look for a quick exit through Santafé. At first things went quite well for the team of the Marina Alta, there was the occasional arrival on the visitors' frame, but without too much danger.
The whole of the capital of the Marina Baixa, directed by Antonio Villaescusa, with the passing of the minutes and after placating the local momentum, took possession of the ball and sought more depth in his game. Except for some mistake counted by the couple of local centrals, little else did in Calvari Benidom in attack.
In one of those defensive mismatches came the first goal of the match after a good play by the left wing. This goal felt very bad in the set directed by Esteban, who was several minutes at the mercy of his rival, without having the ball. The boys led by Antonio Villaescusa had the occasion to increase their advantage, but they came to rest with the score of 0 to 1.

In summary, new rehearsal for Esteban and his boys where it was evident that the team needs a scorer as well as some reinforcement in defense. By the way, there was a good response from the public that came to watch the game despite the strong heat that was made to exceed the 30 degrees.
