Next Thursday, during the ordinary plenary session of the month of May at City Hall, the regulatory bases of the Agricultural Land Bank will be approved, an initiative of the Department of Environment and Agriculture.

In this process, the City of Dénia will play an intermediary role between the landowner and the person interested in cultivating them, will work in the custody of these private lands, will advise both parties and encourage the consumption of these new local products .
Owners who register a plot in the Land Bank must keep them in the offer for a minimum of two years.
New plan for agricultural fires
The plenary on Thursday will also approve the modification of the municipal ordinance for the use of fire, some modifications that have been worked and agreed with forest agents in the region and have also received the approval of members of the Municipal Agrarian Council.
According to Crespo, among the modifications highlights a change in the zoning system for the use of fire based on the distance between the soil where the burning and the nearest forest surface will be carried out. According to this, from 0 to 30 meters of a forest zone the fires are totally forbidden; Of 30 to 150 meters, can be carried out with municipal authorization and doing it in an approved burner; Finally, from 150 meters away from forest floor no authorization or burner is required.
Another novelty designed to expedite administrative procedures is related to the validity of the permit for the burning. Until now, the authorization was valid for one month from the date of its issuance, a term that is now modified and extended throughout the season.
