The City Council offers billiards and hip hop for the Dissabtes Joves

The Department of Youth of the City of Dénia presents a new edition of the alternative leisure project for boys and girls from 13 to 17 years Dissabtes Joves. With this initiative, the council wants to offer a space to the youth of the city to interact, have fun and meet new friends.

The Dissabtes Joves program takes up, from the November 16, in the 0 classroom of the Youth building of the Walls round, 42, from 19 to 22 hours. There will be workshops, music, DJ and many more activities coordinated by monitors to make evenings on Saturdays more fun as well as participatory, in an environment and place conducive to the demands of young people.

The objectives to be achieved with the project are to provide a meeting point during the weekends to young people from 13 to 17 years; promote the use of public spaces and facilities for young people; disseminate a leisure mode of playful, egalitarian, participatory and free of undue consumption; make the rest of the activities and programs available to young people known and create an environment to listen to them and learn about their preferences, hobbies, skills and abilities with the intention of promoting their participation in the design and execution of alternatives for youth of Dénia.

The programming of the Dissabtes Joves will change every week and will be disseminated on social networks because young people stay informed. In the months of November and December are planned, among others, hip hop workshops and creation of badges, pool, cornhole and table football tournaments, moonstruck battles and the performance of Dj Borja Conesa.

From the Department of Youth of Dénia, work continues to facilitate young people spaces, situations, collaborations and experiences, adding the Dissabtes Joves in other programs and initiatives such as Urbajove, the Joves Art Room, the offer of courses and workshops Llunàtics, the Consell Jove or the 'Orienta't' Student Fair.
