The City Council of Dénia will report to the INSS on the status of the Marqués de Campo site

November 24 from 2015 - 14: 14

Dénia City Council will report to the National Institute of Social Security (INSS) by the state of neglect in maintaining the site of their property where the old clinic was located in the Calle Marques de Campo.

Site of the former outpatient

The Mayor of Dénia, Vicent Grimalt, explained that last November 11 was sent a request, as it would be done "with any other owner of a plot that is not in condition". The City claims that the area is dirty and tree branches bothering pedestrians.

A few weeks ago, the City Council requested that would allow them to remove the barriers to clean and condition, legal services but Madrid responded that this was not possible.

After having sent them this request to be cleaned, Dénia is waiting for them to do so within the established period of time. If this is not done, the Town Hall will assume the cleaning tasks in a subsidiary manner and a complaint will be sent with the corresponding expenses for the owner of the site to assume.

Since the demolition of the old ambulatory building, in 2008, the site remains fenced and abandoned. In 2013, the City Council made a proposal to exchange the ownership of this plot with a plot of 1.000 square meters in the Torrecremada area, and in April 2014 the dossier was sent with all the information to the Treasury. The ball was left on the roof of the Social Security Treasury, which had to study the proposal and its economic viability, but since then, nothing else has been known.

Last July, the City of Dénia got the commitment of Treasury to clean up the area, but so far they have not carried out any action.
